Every year since Brett Favre’s messy divorce from the Green Bay Packers in 2008, team president Mark Murphy has fielded all the questions from inquisitive fans.

As those icy tensions have started to melt, however, the lines of communication appear to be reopening.

The best example of that came in February during a tongue-in-cheek skit between Favre and his successor, Aaron Rodgers, while handing out the comeback player of the year award at the “NFL Honors” television awards show.

Murphy, who has stated the organization’s intention to retire Favre’s No. 4 jersey when the timing is right, has started seeing the questions begin to dwindle about the future Hall of Fame quarterback over the past five years.

Before leaving for the Packers’ eighth annual Tailgate Tour across the state Tuesday, Murphy went as far as to suggest a day when Favre takes part in the tour himself much like former teammates Santana Dotson, Frank Winters and Aaron Taylor are doing this week.

“I think each year it’s lessened a little bit,” Murphy said. “My first year was 2008, so we actually thought we might see Brett along the tour. I envision someday he’ll be on this with us.”
