After watching Algoma sweep boys and girls team honors each of the past two years at the Packerland Conference high school track meet, Kewaunee nearly got its hands on both championship plaques Monday in Algoma.

But with 41-degree weather combining with a stiff breeze off the lake, the Storm could barely feel the one championship plaque it received as the plunging wind chills took a toll on most performances.

Kewaunee breezed to an easy win in the boys meet, finishing with 187.5 points to runner-up Southern Door's 145. Sturgeon Bay placed third with 127.5 points. ...
