Soccer: Sturgeon Bay beats Pioneers

Wynnie Maravilla and Katrina Boucher scored three goals each to lead Sturgeon Bay over Sevastopol/Gibraltar, 9-0, Monday in a high school girls soccer game in Institute.

Rachel Dugan, Caroline Haen and Sophia Braschnewitz also scored for the Clippers, who improved to 4-0 in the Packerland Conference and 9-1 overall.

"I thought overall the girls played fine," said Clippers coach Paul Lutze. "We still need to work on creating spacing and depth up front with our forwards and midfielders. We're too much in a straight line across the face of the goal." ...
