Green Bay police said Wednesday they continue to investigate the death of a 49-year-old man at 239 N. Ashland Ave. late last week, but did not release any new details.

Police are calling the death of Daniel Eric Kuehl "suspicious." Investigators are following up on information and awaiting results of medical testing, the department said.

Additional information about the case has not been released. The department announced the investigation around 5 a.m. Saturday.

"We understand that the community has questions and concerns and we hope that they understand that this is a sensitive case that we need to investigate properly so we don't compromise the integrity of the investigation," the department said in a statement. In a news conference, Lt. Kevin Warych said he couldn't say why police believe the death is suspicious, or what makes the case "sensitive."

Police are asking people who may have had contact with Kuehl - or who have pertinent information -to contact the department at (920) 448-3208 or CrimeStoppers at (920) 432-STOP (7867).
