Students in the midst of earning their GED certifications would be well-served to complete the process by mid-December, according to educators at Northcentral Technical College.

That's because, starting Jan. 1, revamped GED tests will be given reflecting higher high school educational standards, and scores earned under the current system will not carry over to the new system, meaning students would have to re-take exams.
