A 21-year-old Howard woman walked away from a car crash initiated by a bee in Howard on Wednesday.

The woman was in the eastbound lane of Velp Avenue around 1:30 p.m. when a bee began bothering her. It eventually landed in her lap and stung her, according to the Brown County Sheriff's Department. The driver hit the curb and a telephone pole and rolled the car.

The driver - the lone occupant of the car - sustained no serious injures, the department said. The accident occurred between Idlewild Court and Glendale Avenue.
