Setting record straight on Lincoln family tree at Oshkosh Public Library

Vicky Reany Paulson has long been her family's unofficial historian, but the local author's recently published book tracing Abraham Lincoln's maternal family line has earned her recognition outside the ranks of her relatives.

Paulson will speak at the Oshkosh Public Library on Saturday, May 18, at 1 p.m., about the work involved in writing her book, "Abraham Lincoln's Hanks Family Genealogy." Paulson is a direct descendant of the Hanks family, which includes Nancy Hanks Lincoln, the mother of President Abraham Lincoln.
