Larry and Sandy Griesbach of Appleton were honored by Foremost Farms USA for producing quality milk in 2012.

The Griesbachs were among 326 producers to receieve an "excellent quality" award from Foremost.

Award recipients are active cooperative members. Their milk tested negative for antibiotics and added water.

Baraboo-based Foremost Farms USA is a cooperative owned by 1,820 dairy farmers in the upper Midwest. The cooperative's 1,129 employees manufacture and market many varieties of American and Italian cheese, whey-based ingredients, butter and bulk fluid milk to domestic and international customers, generating $1.6 billion in revenues.
