DCE 7th-graders win Wisconsin State Invitational Championship

The D.C. Everest seventh-grade girls basketball team took first place in the Wisconsin State Invitational Championship tournament at Wausau East, D.C. Everest and Marathon. Team members are, front from left, Laney Hughes Brooke Svoke, Rachel Plautz, Krista Koenig and Taylor Petit; and back from left, Emily Marquardt, Kendra Philipps, Natalie Mohring, Lexie Higgins and Sarah Lehrke. Not pictured are head coach Jeff Mohring and assistant coaches Pat Hughes and Jennifer Higgins. Higgins, Mohring and Petit were selected to the All-Tournament Team for Division 1.
