Mosinee United Methodist Church, 607 13th St., announces the following:

? Boy Scout Troop 257 hosts a brat fry from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 18 at Charlie's Hardware, 504 Highway 153. Enjoy a brat or hot dog, chips, and a drink for a donation to the troop. The boys will also be selling microwave popcorn and candy bars. For more information, contact Park Hunter (park@itisgood.org or 715-551-2041).

? Highway Mission Outreach will host a mission dinner and presentation at 5:30 p.m. May 18 at Mosinee United Methodist Church. Chaplain John Humphrey will prepare a home-coooked dinner of bourbon beef and peach cobbler, and talk about his ministry leading church services at truck stops across the United States. This event is free and open to the public; you are invited to make a free-will donation for the meal to support the ministry. RSVP's are requested to Chaplain John (trucknrev@gmail.com or 715-218-3514).

? Mosinee Methodist Church's annual church picnic is May 19 at the Big Eau Pleine Park in the West Unit shelter. The 8:30 a.m. worship will take place at church as normal, but Sunday School and 10:30 a.m. worship will take place at the park. The picnic will be at noon, with hot dogs and drinks provided. Bring a dish or dessert to share and come enjoy a fun day at the park. This event is open to the public. In case of inclement weather checkfacebook.com/MosineeUMC for updated plans.

? A Christian Baccalaureate Service for graduating seniors will be held at the Creske Center at 7:00pm May 28. Jeff Tarras of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes will speak on "Facing Giants," and the youth band from Good News Church will play. This service is sponsored by local Catholic, Lutheran, Methodist, Baptist, and Apostolic churches and is open to all. Refreshments will be served in the lobby following the service. Seniors who wish to participate can sign up through their local church, or by contacting Mosinee UMC at mumc@mosineeumc.org or 715-693-2125, or in the Creske lobby at 6:15 p.m. the evening of the service. All participating seniors will be entered in a drawing for $200 Baccalaureate Awards. For more information, contact Pastor Hunter at pastor@mosineeumc.org or 715-551-2041.
