Pool tournament raises $35,000 for cancer research

The annual Shooting for a Cure pool tournament in Wisconsin Rapids was again a tremendous success.

In its 12th year, the tournament raised more than $35,000 this year, bringing the total raised to more than $277,000. Money raised supports breast cancer research at Marshfield Clinic.

Participants in this two-day event included 128 entries in the men's and women's pool competition. The players join in for the great competition, raffles, food and camaraderie. The event is held at Goose's Pub and Monkey's Bar in Wisconsin Rapids. ...
