At 6-foot-2, Carmen Leitermann always was accustomed to being the tallest player on the volleyball court.

Then she went to the U.S. Olympic trials.

The D.C. Everest graduate failed to make the 12-player cut for the team that played at the London summer games in 2012, but she now has a chance to play for the U.S. in another event. ...
