Police recommend charges against man suspected of robbing Town of Menasha convenience store

Police recommended armed robbery and reckless endangerment charges Monday against a 24-year-old man who drew an officer's gunfire during a confrontation outside a convenience store.

No charges were filed by prosecutors Monday following Sunday's robbery of PDQ Food Store, 1065 Racine Road. Police found the suspect about five minutes later and a block away outside the Citgo A.V. Food Mart, 975 Racine Road. The robbery was reported about 4:15 p.m.
