A reader emailed a few days ago saying she wants to eat out.
She wants to dine in the great outdoors now that winter has finally loosened its grip on the Fox Cities and weíve gone full steam into summer.
Sheís looking for both nice outdoor restaurant patios for dining and bar patios that offer a pleasant place to sit and have a drink. ďWas wondering if this could possibly be one of your questions you pose to readers to get some answers,Ē she asked.
In the past, Iíve done stories on outdoor dining, but some of the places are gone and Iím not sure Iíd recommend any place stuck in the middle of a parking lot or too close to a major street.
Some of those Iíve mentioned in the past include Fratellos, Pullmans, Stone Cellar Brewpub and the now-closed Sliders.
Anduzziís patio, shown above, opened after my last list, as did the Buffalo Wild Wings patio and the beer garden at Fox River House.
If youíve dined outdoors at a particular location and found that itís better suited for smokers rather than nonsmokers, thatís worth mentioning.
Iíll compile the emails, posts and tweets I get on the subject in Fridayís print and online editions.
