A 75-year-old man killed in a one-vehicle accident in Bonduel on Monday has been identified as Leon Felix Wychesit of Gillett.

Wychesit was a passenger in a Ford pickup truck that hit a tree in the 300 block of North First Street about noon, according to the Shawano County Sheriff's Department. He was pronounced dead at the Shawano Medical Center.

His wife, Tina Wychesit, 46, was driving the pickup northbound on First Street between Cedar and Park streets. She said she had a seizure before she lost control of the pickup, according to an accident report. She sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah. An update on her condition was unavailable Tuesday afternoon.

Tina Wychesit did not have a valid driver's license. Neither she nor her husband were wearing a seat belt.

Alcohol is not suspected of being a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
