Prep softball: Conard's 'lights out' season takes Preble to next level

Payton Sampson has played softball with Anna Conard for most of her life.

So the Green Bay Preble junior catcher could tell something was different when Conard stepped into the pitching circle in the first game this season.

"You could just tell she was going to be really good right away, striking out 10 in the first game," Sampson said. "It was like, yeah, I think we're going to be a pretty good team this year." ...
