Ann the Barber, otherwise known as Ann Wentworth, spends 40 hours a week running a busy barbershop along S. Military Road in Fond du Lac and is a single mother of eight kids, five of whom still live at home.

The barbershop, which Ann has owned for almost eight years, specializes in military cuts and flat tops but welcomes everybody. And it's thriving. It doesn't produce enough income to send the kids to the private schools she thinks would best suit them, though.

Expansion of parental choice programs to Fond du Lac and other Wisconsin cities would help immensely. Existing parental choice ...
