Veterans monument hits 10th anniversary as brick sale continues

The Brown County Veterans Memorial celebrated its 10th birthday Thursday, three days after receiving 28 new commemorative bricks.

That means visitors to the monument in front of the Veterans Memorial Complex at 1901 S. Oneida St. during the Memorial Day weekend will see more than 4,000 commemorative bricks naming area veterans or carrying messages to those veterans from family and friends.
