A newly established fund is aimed at helping veterans and their families through the end-of-life process.

Unity, a nonprofit specializing in hospice and palliative care, launched the Sgt. David L. Rasmussen Veterans Fund with a fundraiser with the Desert Veterans of Wisconsin in March.

The fund is designed to help eligible United States military veterans pay for hospice and palliative care services, as well as room and board and hospice care services at the facility. ...
