Local auto racing: Kiel driver wins heat at PDTR

With opening night of Plymouth Dirt Track Racing starting two weeks later than scheduled do to some uncooperative weather, Kiel's Brad Lubach was one of three heat winners for the Grand National A-Main.

Lubach was joined by Sheboygan's Matt Jackson and Cascade's Mark Fieber while the B Main Feature winner was Oostburg's Luke Scholten. The Grand National A-Main was won by Franklin's Dan Source.

Glenbeulah's Jim Melius won the Sprint Cars feature while the B Main Feature winners were Elkart Lake's Randy Sippel and Sheboygan Falls' Ken Jay Fiedler. Heat winners included Sussex's Danny Schlafer, West Allis' Kurt Davis, Waupun's Tim Haddy and Plymouth's Erin Winscher.

The Sadoff Late Model Feature was won by Waukesha's Rick Scheffler as the heat winners were Plymouth's Kyle Odekirk and Glenbeulah's Tim Buhler.

Outlaw Compacts, the night's final feature, was won by Sheboygan's Travis Arenz, who also won the heat along with Sheboygan Falls' Mike Schultz.
