Veteran to speak

World War II veteran Lester Tenney, author of "My Hitch in Hell," will speak at 7 p.m. May 29 at Holiday Inn & Conference Center, Marshfield.

Tenney will speak about his book he wrote about his experience in World War II and the Bataan Death March in the Philippines. This event is free and put on by the Thomas House Museum. Tenney will recount his experiences as a GI during the fall of the Philippines in 1941, his participation in the Bataan Death March and his three-year ordeal in Camp 17, the harshest POW camp in Japan.
