Brussels town road projects approved

Armed with numbers not available at its regular monthly meeting last week, the Brussels Town Board at a special meeting Wednesday approved repairs to a half-dozen town roads this summer.

The board allocated $160,000 for roads in its 2013 budget. Snow removal and street lighting costs were included in the spending.

Street lighting costs the town about $12,000 per year, according to Town Clerk JoAnn Neinas. ...
