Bus pass gives kids chance to explore city this summer

In an effort to help area children get to their summer destinations, including pools and Bay Beach Amusement Park and other places, officials are offering a special new "Discover Green Bay" bus pass.

The $25 pass allows kids ages 9 to 17 to ride Green Bay Metro buses as much as they want between June 15 and Aug. 31. It also includes free admission Monday through Friday to the Neville Public Museum of Brown County. People can buy passes at Shopko locations as well as the Metro Transportation center.

Transit Director Tom Wittig wants kids not to have to rely on parents to get them around Green Bay all ...
