Granton High School graduation ceremonies will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 25 at the high school.

The welcome will be given by Kylee Rasmussen and Devry Andrews. Valedictorian and salutatorian awards will be presented by Charles Buckel, district administrator. Diplomas will be presented by Jon Dodge, principal.

Class memories will be given by Bethany West and Andrea Wucherpfennig, and the class video will be led by Robert Olson and Brianna Leggate. Closing and turning of the tassel will be conducted by Brianna Leggate and Kaylyn Oja.

The class flower is the white rose with baby's breath and the class colors are burnt orange and black. The class song is "Letter to Me" by Brad Paisley.

The class motto is "As each of us follows our path in life, we will remember these years. We will remember our friends, the laughter, the pain. Our smiles reflect the memories locked deep within our hearts. Future dreams shine like bright stars against distant nights. We have grown so much, and yet, we will grow, forever."

Class officers are Brianna Leggate, president; Kylee Rasmussen, vice president; Andrea Wucherpfennig, secretary; and Chase Friedemann, treasurer. Class adviser is Andrea Schultz. Junior class attendants are Olivia Verkilen and Travis Nickel.

Valedictorian is Chase Friedemann. He is a member of the school's FFA chapter, National Honor Society and Spanish Club. He is the 2012-13 treasurer for all three. He is a member of P.A.W.S., a member of the FFA chapter's 2012-13 Parliamentary Procedure Team, and was a member of Future Business Leaders of America from 2009 to 2010. He plans to attend University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire where he will major in geology. Chase is the son of Jerry and Cheryl Friedemann.

Salutatorian is Robert Olson. Throughout high school, he has been an active member in the FFA, National Honors Society, Spanish Club, Varsity Club, varsity basketball team, Skills USA and varsity cross country team. He earned high academic honors for three years and was recently recognized as Granton Rotary "Student of the Month" and received the Marshfield Elks Outstanding Student Youth Achievement Award in Leadership. He plans to attend Chippewa Valley Technical College and study in the Electrical Power Distribution Program the next year. He is the son of Greg Olson and Tammy and Eddie Eron.

The eight graduates include: Devry Andrews, Chase Friedemann, Brianna Leggate, Kaylyn Oja, Robert Olson, Kylee Rasmussen, Bethany West and Andrea Wucherpfennig.
