The Pittsville High School class of 2013 will be honored at graduation ceremonies starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 25 at the high school.

The welcome will be given by Mark Weddig, high school principal. Music will be provided by the high school band and choir, followed by the senior slide show designed by Megan Christiansen and Tasha Vogel.

The class flower is the white rose with purple tips and the class colors are purple and gold.

Class officers are Jared Fox, president; Eric Hahn, vice president; Megan Piotrowski, secretary; Marissa Ortner, treasurer; Nathan Amundson and Andrew Fox, Student Council representatives. Class advisers are John Downs, Jennifer Jackson and Robert Piotrowski.

Graduates listed in the top 10 percent of their class are Nathan Amundson, Hope Moos, Kayla Pierce, Trail Pierce and Megan Piotrowski.

Addressing the class and guest will be valedictorian Hope Moos, daughter of Dan and Charlotte Merritt of Pittsville and John and Pam Moos of Port Edwards. She has been a member of the National Honor Society since her sophomore year and served a year as the vice president. She was a part of the founding year of the Teen Leadership Council and was active in Science Olympiad, Ecology Club, Sunday school and the dairy portion of the local 4-H club. She will be attending University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in the fall, majoring in chemistry.

Also speaking will be salutatorian Megan Piotrowski, daughter of Robert and Christine Piotrowski of Vesper. She has been in many leadership positions including president of Pleasant Corners 4-H for two years, president of the National Honors Society chapter, president of forensics and Drama Club, as well as president of the Tri-M Music Honors Society. She took 20 events to State Solo Ensemble. Megan plans to attend UW-Eau Claire to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in kinesiology, and then attend UW-La Crosse for her doctorate in physical therapy.

Jared Fox, class president, then will address the assembly.

Teacher Mark Denniston will give the senior roll call, and presentation of diplomas will be by Terry Reynolds, superintendent; Connie Potter, school board member-at-large, and Mark Weddig, principal.
