Counselor receives tobacco-free award

Jennifer Berdan, Amherst Middle School counselor and AODA coordinator, received an Appreciation Award from the Central Wisconsin Tobacco Free Coalition at a recent meeting of the Tomorrow River School Board.

The Central Wisconsin Tobacco Free Coalition Appreciation Award was presented to Berdan in recognition of her work with the middle school tobacco-free group known as FACT.

FACT is part of a peer helper group that reaches out to other youths through fun educational activities to prevent them from becoming the next generation to be addicted to tobacco products. The teens expose ...
