A sea of red flooded into the gymnasium of Newman Catholic High School on Friday night, as 36 students gathered to accept their high school diplomas and prepared to cross over into college life.

The students' education at the private high school in Wausau had prepared them for the transition to leave the corridors of Newman Catholic and move on to college, valedictorian Benjamin Vesel assured classmates, parents and teachers during the graduation ceremony.
