The city of Adams police chief plans to retire next month, almost two years after a police union called for his ouster.

Adams Police Chief Todd Hanson's last official day will be June 11, according to documents Daily Tribune Media obtained through an open records request with the city. However, Hanson hasn't been in office since city officials placed him on administrative leave in January, said Robert Ellisor, Adams administrator.
