Updated: Nekoosa police seek men involved in knife-point robbery attempt

Two men suspected of attempting to rob the Nekoosa Subway restaurant Thursday evening didn't get any money and instead purchased sandwiches and left before police arrived, according to a news release from Shawn Woods of the Nekoosa Police Department.

Two males entered the restaurant shortly after 8:30 p.m. and pointed a knife at an employee while she stood at the cash register, according to the news release. One of the suspects hid the knife when a customer entered the store. The two men stayed on site for about 25 minutes while customers arrived at the restaurant.
