Sevastopol School students placed more than 1,000 flags on the graves of veterans in three Sturgeon Bay cemeteries Thursday in preparation for Memorial Day. The annual service project of the school's chapter of FFA is one of several that take place throughout the Peninsula every year.
Other adult volunteers and members of the Veterans of Foreign War also were helping place flags in memory of those who served.
