Jake Bscherer's graduate school paper will have to wait - he's getting a chance to play for an NFL team.

Bscherer, an offensive lineman from Sturgeon Bay who finished his college football career last fall at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, said he's been offered a free-agent contract with the Seattle Seahawks. He's flying to Seattle Monday for a physical and will join the team for organized training activities Tuesday.

Bscherer said he was working on a paper Wednesday afternoon when he received word from his agent. ...
