The Sound Celebration Women's Chorus will perform on Tuesday, May 28, at 7:30 p.m., at the Greenbush Town Hall. The group is preparing for the Midwest Area Competition of Harmony, Inc., which will be held June in Terra Haute, Indiana. The performance is a dress rehearsal for the competition. There is no charge for the performance and refreshments will be provided following the program.

"A show performed by any Barbershop group is as real "show!" says Denise Shaffer, one of the groups newest recruits. "When I saw them perform last December, they were having so much fun, I knew that it was the group for me! Everyone leaves smiling and humming! Barbershop music just plain makes you feel good," continues Shaffer. "This complimentary performance is a wonderful opportunity for families and music lovers of all ages to have some fun and experience the uniqueness of this special blending of harmonies."

"The chorus works hard every year to improve their singing and performance level. We have fun every rehearsal, but the competition is the highlight of the year," says President Marianne Cooke of Fond du Lac, a longtime member of the chorus.

Visitors and prospective members are always welcome to attend rehearsals on Tuesday nights at 6:45 p.m. at the Greenbush Town Hall on Hwy. 23 at Greenbush. Call 238-9582; or visit sound-celebration.com on the Web.

Sound Celebration has been a chartered chapter of Harmony, Inc. for over 40 years. Harmony, Inc., is an international organization of women barbershop singers.
