Mt. Calvary child, 5, dies after being run over in parking lot

A 5-year-old child died after being run over in the parking lot Friday night.

The Fond du Lac County 911 Center received a report at 8:28 p.m. that the child had been injured after being run over by a pickup truck in the parking lot of Maximillian's restaurant, 155 Fond du Lac St., Mt. Calvary.

According to a press release, a 35-year-old Fond du Lac man was backing his pickup truck into a parking stall when a 5-year-old child ran behind the truck and was run over. The child died at St. Agnes Hospital.

Responding to the scene were the Mt. Calvary Fire Department and EMS, Fond du Lac Fire Department and paramedics, the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office and Flight for Life.

Names of the victim and truck driver are not being released at this time. The crash remains under investigation.
