Puppies affected by Oklahoma tornado receive new h...: Bay Area Humane Society was packed Saturday, May 25 by people who wanted to adopt dogs sent north from tornado-ravaged central Oklahoma.

Bay Area Humane Society was a madhouse ... er, doghouse ... Saturday.

A long, constant line formed in front of the adoption desk as people from far and wide were drawn to the animal shelter to adopt dogs, mostly puppies, that were refugees from last week's tornadoes in Oklahoma. The Central Oklahoma Humane Society transferred the dogs to Green Bay to make room for animals left homeless by the tornadoes, including the deadly twister that hit Moore, Okla.

"I'm just an animal person. They need a home and they've been through a lot," said Kera Margelofski, who drove from Fond du Lac. ...
