Hobart, Ledgeview lead Brown County's growth, census estimates say

Four Brown County communities are among the state's top 10 fastest growing since 2010, according to the latest estimates of the U.S. Census Bureau.

The villages of Hobart, Wrightstown and Howard and town of Ledgeview all surpassed 6 percent growth, and the town of Lawrence, with 5.8 percent growth through 2012, just missed getting into the top 10.

Together they helped Brown County grow 2 percent since 2010, making it the third-fastest grower of all 72 counties in the state. Dane County was the fastest, and the small village of Bristol in Kenosha County nearly doubled in population to become ...
