Celebrate De Pere kicks off weekend of events: Food, musics and rides return to Voyager Park for the 23rd annual Celebrate De Pere on Saturday, May 25. The event continues Sunday and Monday.

New adventures and old favorites highlight this year's Celebrate De Pere.

It's the 23rd time for the riverfront festival in Voyageur Park that includes food, music, games and carnival rides. Celebrate De Pere President Brenda Gauger expects 24,000 to 26,000 people to attend the three-day event, though she could be selling it short.

"We were surprised when we opened and had 100 people in line already," she said for Saturday's launch of the three-day event. ...
