Sitting around the kitchen table at their town of Linwood home on a recent Sunday afternoon, Pat and Kathy Raflik and four of their six children reminisced about the past, as families often do.

There were three broken collarbones in the span of a month, and a refrigerator that fell on one daughter's ankles when she was 10. Teaching their children to drive yielded many moments of laughter. And arguments between their daughters about boyfriends and sharing clothes took them right back to their teenage years.
