Update: Names released in fatal Highway Q crash

Peter C. Fisher, a 52-year-old Ringle man, was dead when crews arrived to the scene of a Highway Q crash Sunday night.

The man wasn't wearing a seat belt when he was driving a red, soft-top Corvette Sunday night and wrecked his car around 7:45 p.m., Lt. Dale Wisnewski of the Marathon County Sheriff's Department said today.

A 29-year-old Wausau woman, Antonia D. Zak, who was sitting in the passenger seat when the crash occurred, was trapped in the car when crews arrived to the scene. Wisnewski said he didn't know what equipment was used to pry her out of the wrecked Corvette. The woman, who was ...
