On a chilly Memorial Day weekend, one would not expect parking to be at a premium at the Scheels USA Youth Sports Complex.

But it was. So much so that Celebration Lutheran Church on the sports facility's west side was getting some of the overflow.

That speaks to the popularity of the sport when the Wisconsin Youth Soccer Asscociation state championships took place Saturday through Monday with preliminary competition, with pool winners advancing to the semifinals and championship rounds this Saturday and Sunday. ...
