New stink raised over Sanimax odors

Some Brown County lawmakers say a Howard business should pay through the nose if it continues to make neighbors plug theirs.

Prompted by new complaints about smells from the Sanimax plant at 2099 Shawano Ave., several county supervisors want the county to push harder to punish the plant's operators if the odors continue.

"The people have been beaten down," said Supervisor Patrick Evans, who represents a Green Bay neighborhood where some residents have complained about the smell. "The absolute, unarguable fact is that the (county) has provided Sanimax every opportunity and plenty of time ...
