10 YEARS AGO: Steven Meitner received the William P. Pors Award at the annual awards convocation recently held at University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County. Meitner is a graduate of Auburndale High School.

Cub Scout Pack 391 celebrated the birthday of Boy Scouting with a Blue and Gold potluck dinner. Joshua Weier, a member of the Webelos Den of Pack 391, received his Arrow of Light award at the event.

25 YEARS AGO: George E. MacKinnon recently received a Bachelor of Science degree from the School of Pharmacy at UW-Madison. He is the son of George and Alicia MacKinno of Marshfield.

50 YEARS AGO: Jim "Sunny" Brown, manager of the Marshfield baseball team, said that Danny Mounce will start on the mound when Marshfield opens its season at Thorp. Mounce was the top southpaw in the Yellow River League last season.

75 YEARS AGO: High school students enrolled in the new course of sportsmanlike driving are taking their final examinations this week in a specially equipped dual control automobile. August Keller is the course instructor.
