The numbers were perplexing. In many ways, mind-boggling.

Through the Green Bay Packers' research department, the statistic was brought to coach Mike McCarthy's attention this offseason that 48 percent of fumbles caused in the NFL are a result of sacks and hits to the quarterback.

If that's the case, how do you explain a Packers' defense that registered the fourth-most sacks (47) in the NFL this past season, but also finished tied for third-to-last in forced fumbles (eight)? ...
