A face-to-face meeting between Drew Rosenhaus, the agent for restricted free agent cornerback Sam Shields, didn't result in a long-term contract with the Green Bay Packers, but instead Shields signed his tender offer.

An NFL source told Press-Gazette Media that Rosenhaus came to Green Bay on Monday to discuss Shields' contract situation in advance of the Packers' mandatory minicamp, which starts today with an 11:30 a.m. practice that will be open to the public (weather permitting).
