DAR chapter celebrates 115 years

The Stevens Point Chapter National Society Daughter of the American Revolution, named to honor George Stevens for whom the city was named, was chartered June 4, 1898, with Alice Babcock Stilson McDill its organizing regent. Since then, the Stevens Point Chapter has continued to serve the community and the state to promote patriotism, preserve history and promote education.

DAR members annually devote countless hours to veteran patients, award scholarships and financial aid to students, and support schools in underserved areas of the United States.
