I was disappointed to read Katie Vann's misrepresentation of Congressman Reid Ribble's recent vote to defend Wisconsin agriculture.
Ribble got it right when he wisely voted for a farm bill provision that would not hold Wisconsin farmers hostage to animal husbandry laws in other states. Pure and simple, this farm bill amendment protects states' rights. Wisconsin farmers must be allowed to raise livestock and sell their products to other states, regardless of animal husbandry laws that other states might pass.
This type of free market competition is what America was founded on. My thanks to Congressman Ribble for looking out for Wisconsin's farm families and $59 billion agricultural economy.
