Touring museums is a great summer activity, and you might be surprised what there is to learn in the most unusual places.

Every year, I learn something when I have a guided tour of the 1897 Clark County Jail Museum in Neillsville. But, before there was this jail, there were two others. Photos of them are on display in the museum. The second Clark County House Jail was built in 1881. The house portion was sold and moved to Fifth and Court streets, just down the street from the jail museum. The building is presently Cardinal Capital Management, formerly Concern Apartments.
