On May 18, the Legacy Stone placement ceremony took place at The Highground. The weather was perfect. The setting was perfect. The families shared stories and hearts were touched. The day was perfect.

Stones placed May 18 included honors for some who are gone, some who are still with us and a few surprises to the stone recipients. "The Star Spangled Banner" was sung by Lindsey (Hansen) Nelson, granddaughter of stone recipient, Timm G. Hansen, USMC. The American Legion Post No. 547 from Lublin, honoring Alex, Walter and Sylvester Abramowicz Sr., was on hand to present colors.
