Soccer: Ozaukee eliminates Clippers in shootout

Sturgeon Bay's quest for a first trip to the state high school girls soccer tournament ended painfully short Thursday night.

After playing through two overtime periods, the Ozaukee Warriors beat the Clippers, 2-1, in a shootout in a Division 3 sectional semifinal game in Ozaukee. The Clippers finished the season 15-2, while the Warriors (19-1-1) will play today against Central Lakeshore Conference rival Cedar Grove (16-5-3) for the sectional title and a state berth.
