On May 17-19, Troop 601 joined in on the fun at the Twin Lakes District Spring Camporee at Camp Maywood near Wautoma. The Scouts had a great time participating in all of the fun and active games. Four Scouts from the Troop were "called out" into the Order of the Arrow in an impressive ceremony.

The Order of the Arrow (OA) Spring Conference was held on May 31-June 2 at Camp Twin Lakes near Waupaca. The OA is the National Honor Society of the Boy Scouts of America and Troop 601 elected four of their Scouts into the OA for 2013. Xavier Kienast, Andrew Reischl, Connor Foust, and Aiden Gehrke completed their "ordeal" and received their Ordeal Sashes in a memorable ceremony. William Cochrane, Joseph Herrick, John Hudson, CJ Ziebell, and Skylar Ziebell all earned their Brotherhood during the Conference.

Summer camp at Camp Tesomas in Rhinelander is coming up on June 16-22. The Scouts are getting ready to experience the fun of swimming, hiking, games, campfires, and the various merit badges that each Scout selected to work on during the week.
