The Wisconsin Woodchucks had one player picked in the Major League Baseball draft, but it wasn't their leading power hitter.

Matt Tellor, whose three home runs and 20 RBIs through eight games helped put the Woodchucks in first place, was not picked in the 40-round draft that began Thursday and ended Saturday.

Ryan Rippee, a freshman outfielder from Jefferson College in Missouri, was picked by the Boston Red Sox in the 31st round. Rippee was hitting .250 before Saturday, and he was not in the starting lineup for a night game at Battle Creek. ...
